Laundry Room Help

Laundry isn’t one of my favorite things to do. I don’t mind getting the laundry into the washer, but somehow getting it into the dryer gets forgotten for about half a day. And don’t get me started on folding!

Our laundry “room” is connected to the kitchen, right by the back door. It seems this area is always dirty, because the dog comes in that door so dirt/leaves/etc get tracked in. We also have shelves going around that whole area. This is tons of great storage, but I hated seeing all of our kitchen appliances. Hence the curtains. So much better!

Eventually, we’re going to get cabinets and put in a pantry. Until then, I’m making it work, because this is something we’ll do well after the baby is born.

Here are some of my favorite ideas to eventually inspire that room (have I mentioned that I love Pinterest?)

From Tatertots and Jello. This would be my dream area! And it's actually possible in the space I have. Someday...

From I Really Should Be Sleeping. Such an easy and inexpensive idea. And it's removable!

From Pinterest. I'm not sure if we have enough ceiling heigh for this, but I love the idea.

I also really love these storage ideas from I Heart Organizing.

Someday my laundry area will look as fabulous. Until then, it’s just functional!
